1819, Prepaid entire double rate letter from "KIRKCUDBRIGHT", Scotland to Madeira, charged with a total of 5/8½ d. incl. ½ d. Scottish turnpike charge; according to opinion Wijnants AIEP the only recorded letter with this rate up to date (2016)

1839, May 7, London Two Penny Post entire from Bow Lane to Holborn, rated ‚2‘ at ‚T.P. Queens St. C.S.‘ receiving office, annulated by zig zag handstamp and rated ‚4‘ (very rare handstamp in black ink). GBPS members commented when shown in an exhibit at the GBCWPS meeting in Paderborn 2016: ‚a rarity‘ and ‚never seen before‘.

1847, "PAID J 4.JY.1857" in red on folded letter from London with red boxed "P.P." via Paris with French ship mail to Rio de Janeiro with arrival mark on front and taxed in manuscript "660", fine

1849, folded letter from London with red post mark "PAID JY.25.1849" via Aachen with German transit mark "Aus England per Aachen franco" in black to Constantinopel, fine

1852, unpaid folded letter from London with post mark "BJ MY 17.1852" with German transit mark "ENGLAND PER AACHEN 18.5." and erased handwritten tax with new rate "6/2" via Austria to Constantinopel with arrival mark and handwritten endorsement "Piaster 14 paid" on reverse, crease, otherwise fine

1871, Envelope from France endorsed "In care of His Royal Highness the Duke of Cambridge, Commanding in Chief British Army" to the Secretary of State in London with accountancy mark "*FR*1 F 50 c" crossed out and adjacent red "OFFICIAL-PAID JA 11 71", fine and scarce

1840, 1 d. black, plate 1b, QB, large margins, small corner crease at lower right and small thin covered by re-gumming, opinion Louis BPP and certificate RPS (1974), stating genuine / soiled

1862, 3d. rose, plate 2, PA, and 1858/79, 1d. plate 71, KG and 2d. plate 9, QB, tied by ‚705‘ SHIFFNAL barred oval obliteration to registered envelope to Newport, Salop, horizontal filing crease crossing 2d, otherwise fine. A rarely seen domestic use of the 1862, 3d. adhesive paying part of the 4d. registered fee., (Mi 16+17+18)  

1862, 9d. straw, plate 2, RG, and 1858, 2d. blue, plate 9, DE, tied by ‚W-21 / LONDON-W   AP 25 64 duplex cancellation to entire routed via France & Italy to the Vatican, Rome, with arrival marking ‚ROMA – VIA DI MARE  2 MAG 64‘ on reverse, a very rare letter to the Vatican! The sender of the letter was Nicholas Cardinal Wiseman (1802-1865), Archbishop of Westminster writing to George Talbot (1816-1886) an English curial official who had served as private secretary to Pope Pius IX., (Mi 21 + 17)  

1862/64, 1 sh. green, plate no. 1, tied by New York sunburst kork cancel with adjacent "NEW YORK MAY 20 1863" to embossed commercial letter "ST. NICHOLAS HOTEL BROADWAY NEW YORK" to Canada with Motreal transit mark; the envelope with corner faults and crease at right not effecting the stamp, otherwise fine; a very unusual and rare use of a British stamp on the US, apparently fully accepted

1873, 1 sh. green, plate 12, tied by duplex "PORTSMOUTH MR 16 78" to envelope to "Captain Laurenson, care of the British Consul, Callao, Peru" re-directed to Eten, franked on reverse with 1874 postage due 10 c. orange, tied by cork cancel (slight corner fault); a fine and scarce combination cover, certificate Louis BPP (2007)

1882/1904, Board of Trade, ½d. green as vertical pair with perfin "CROWN BT" tied by cancel "LONDON  1904" to wrapper to Ghent, scarce, one stamp affixed over the edge, otherwise fine ex Waelbroeck

1840/70, anfangs gestempelte, später dann postfrische Sammlung, dabei Mi.-Nr. 1 (1+Brief), 2 (2), 85, 99, 118, 144 und 174

1840/1959, vorwiegend gestempelte Sammlung ab Mulready-Umschlägen, mit vielen besseren Werten, oft mehrfach, teils nach Platten usw., differenziert, dazu ein guter Teil Dienstmarken inkl. Dienstlochungen und ein sehr umfangreicher Teil Stempelmarken, Telegraphenmarken und weitere "back of the book", stark unterschiedliche Erhaltung ex Waelbroeck

1840/1980, postfrische, ungebrauchte und gestempelte Partie mit u.a. Mi.-Nr. 1 und 2, dazu etwas Nauru etc.

1841/33, interessante Plattierungssammlung ab Mi.-Nr. 3-4 mit tausenden von Werten, dabei viele bessere, stark unterschiedliche Erhaltung ex Waelbroeck
