1868, Mail from Great Britain to Greece: Cover sent unpaid from London to Vostizza (Egio) endorsed 'via Marseille', with Calais transit and struck with rare Anglo French Convention marking "F. 54" in black (Van der Linden fig. 1192) in Paris, on arrival '110' (lepta) in red crayon alongside - rate of 110 lepta for a letter under 7½ grams from France. Usual file folds but a very scarce entire. Note: the cover was charged 110 lepta via Marseilles for a letter up to 7½ grams. However, if sent via Brindisi the same letter would have been charged 90 lepta for a letter up to 10 grams. The second route was, therefore, used more frequently.
