1871/72, 3 d. pale yellow-green and ‘Twelfe Cents’ on 6 d. carmine-rose, good perforationes, unused pair, fine.

1858, British Protectorate 1815-1864: Folded envelope from CORFU 18/MAG with hand-stamp town cachet, endorsed ‘via Trieste’ to England, charged ´8´ and large boxed "6¼" (silver-groschen) in blue applied at Trieste (Van Der Linden fig. 3092) alongside, additional ms. taxe marks, on reverse PLYMOUTH A MY/25/58 arrival mark, usual file fold and tiny border crease, scarce and attractive!

1902, 5 c. card up-rated with Cadet 2 c. mailed from Barcelona via London to St. Helena, a scarce destination.

1886, 20 para black on rose postal stationery card answering part used uprated with 1 pia. blue, cancelled with clear "CONSTANTINOPLE-GALATA DEPART 2/JUILLET/1886" ds., violet Hotel de Byzance ds. alongside, addressed to ‘Victoria Club Pietermaritzburg Natal L'Afrique du Sud’, red crayon “20cts”, transit mark NEW YORK PAID ALL JUL/18/86 and MISSENT TO NEW YORK JUL/21/86 on front. Postcards were not permitted to be sent to South Africa, hence the red London instruction twoliner "POST CARDS TO THIS ADRESS CANNOT BE FORWARDED" in red was stamped on the front, arrival mark "CONSTANTINOPLE-GALATA ARRIVEE 5/AOUT/1886" on reverse,vertical fold, otherwise fine. A very scarce route and destination!

1901/02, OVERLAND MAIL & SHIP MAIL: two Turkey postal stationery cards cancelled DIARBEKIR TURQUIE following different routes to Karnal India. First overland from 11.1.01 with turkish transit mark BAGDAD 27.1.01, British P.O. BAGDAD 20.JAN.01 and arrival mark KARNAL 28 FE 01. The second written 11 month later from 21.DEC 1901, transit marks Stamboul 26.12.01, ALEXANDRIE 30.12.01, SEA POST OFFICE 5.JAN.02 and arrival mark KARNAL 12 JA 02. Both written by an Armenian to the same address in Karnal Panjab. A very interesting corrosponding pair and scarce postal history.

1939 (Aug 10): Crash Mail cover and content addressed from Bootle/Liverpool to St.Gallen, carried on flight from London to Zurich that crashed at Luxeuil (Haute Saône), the envelope singed by fire. The pilot, Capt. Scott landed safely and 9 passengers escaped, but the Lockheed L-14 plane caught fire and was destroyed, only part of the mail was salvaged. The letter inside was written in Sydney N.S.W. with interesting text in german about pre-war time and economics in Australia. (Nierinck 390811a)

1948,  POW AIR MAIL: 2 p. and 2½ p. tied to air mail cover by BANGHAZI 9/8/1948, addressed to US Zone Germany, sent by a German P.O.W. from Benghazi Cirenaica, fine and scarce

1931, KGV 1½ d. brown and 4x ½ d. green tied to airmail cover by ROTHERHAM 16.10.31 to Tiberias / Palestine with red ms. ´By First Direct Flight / London to Tiberias´ marking on front, transitmarks of Haifa 20.10.31 and Tiberias 21.10.31 on reverse, fine.

1867/1918, Straits Settlements Malacca Malay States: collection on 7 album pages, used and unused, Bangkok ‘B’ overprint, two QV 96 c. used, early overprints, mainly fine.

1884/1925, Malay States: Perak, Selangor, Sungei Ujong, Trengganu, collection on 6 album pages, used and unused, Selangor vertical overprint, mainly fine.

1855/1950, India & Ceylon: mostly used collections, starting India 4 a. black 1855 (SG 55), on 13 old album pages, few different, mostly fine.

1870/1970 (ca.), unused and used collection, including a selection of Tobago, Trinidad, Tokelau, Tonga, Cyprus and Zanzibar, mixed condition especially in the early issues, mounted on nine album pages.

1863/1910, unused and used collection, including a selection of Western Australia, Victoria and Tasmania, plus some New Guinea, mixed condition especially in the early and air mail issues, mounted on five album pages.

1850, Sydney Views 1 d. reddish rose, soft yellowish paper, Plate I, good to large margins, light cancelled, tiny faded, otherwise fine, certificate BPA (1981)

1890/1916, Three used and three unused postal stationery cards, and three envelopes used to Germany, one registered, mostly fine.

1850, Sydney Views 1 d. dull carmine, Plate II, good margins on three sides, touched at bottom left, somewhat heavy cancel, fine.

1892, 1½ d. blue postal stationery card cancelled ‘1134 THE EXCHANGE NSW 3 JA/18/92’, transit marks SUEZ and CAIRE 15/2/92, arrival mark HELOUAN 15/2/92. Full message on reverse from a german businessman with interesting text about australian woman, addressed to Egypt with transport traces and spots at right, otherwise fine and a very scarce overseas destination.

1850, Sydney Views 2 d. deep blue, Plate I, early impressions, well to large margins, cancelled by ´66´ oval grid (Singleton) obliterator, flaw at top left, otherwise fine.

1908, 1 d. + 1 d. red-brown postal stationery complete answering card used uprated with ½ blueish-green, machine cancel SYDNEY FE/4/1908, addressed to Uruguay, arrival mark MONTEVIDEO 4/MAR/1908 on reverse, fine and a scarce overseas destination.

1851/52, LAUREATES study lot with two used 1 d. and four used 2 d. plus one vertical pair, nice variety of shades including different papers, mostly with good to wide margins, few different, otherwise fine.

1853, 2 d. deep ultramarine, plate II, bluish paper, single tied to envelope from Sydney by mute cancel, good margins on three sides, tiny touched at top right, fresh color, on reverse ship cancellations SYDNEY (CROWN) NEW SOUTH WALES AU/20/1853, SHIP LETTER (CROWN) SYDNEY AU/20/53 and GRAFTON (CROWN) NEW S. WALES AU/31/53. Tiny toned and file fold, otherwise fine and attractive maritime mail.
