A year before Lallier had published his 1st edition, the very first manufactured philatelic album in the world. This is without stamps, but with a decorative de luxe-binding, Gold edging on the pages, two metal closures, one of which is still intact. For the time in quite good condition and very rare. Lallier, Justin: Postage-Stamp-Album. Illustrated with Maps, Arms, and Flags. Third (English) edition. Entirely rewritten and extended. Translated from the 4th French edition (publ. by A. Lenègre, Paris, August 1864), 279 pages with gold edging on the pages and two metal closures, one of which is still there and intact. Decorative hardbound. With a few original stamps inside. The pages are very clean and the album in good condition. Such English versions of the Lallier-album are very rare. Estimate: 400 Euro
