25 c. blue, Type I in vertical block of six of fresh colours, displaying the major plate flaw from position 146 (pane A2, 8th state), mint never hinged (one unused), fine and rare, certificate Scheller (2025) (Yvert-Nr. 60A)

25 c. blue as an horizontal strip of three, left adhesive displaying the major plate flaw ´large spot (grande tache)´ from position 128 (pane D1), lightly tied by large dotted lozenge “2845”  leaving the flaw clearly visible, with cds. “PIEGUT-PLUVIERS 25 JUIL. 72” to an envelope to Paris, sent “CHARGÉ” with all appropriate red postmarks, the variety with lower left corner fault and some minor cover imperfections, still fine. A rare and striking specialist item, signed Scheller with his certificate (2025) (Yvert-Nr. 60A)

A lovely and most unusual usage via the Brindisi route
