1858, single 5ø green and 30ø brown, vertical pair 12ø blue and 1862 3ø brown, all tied by cds. “FINERÖDJA 22 10" to insufficiently paid cover, initially franked with, Franklin 1c. blue and Jackson 2c. brown tied by cork cancel, via “BOSTON DIRECT” and “HAMBURG 16 10 71” to Finerödja, Sweden. In red crayon charged with „61“, the Swedish adhesives adding up to 62ø, possibly due to the fact that other values to make the correct charge were unavailable. Despite slight and expected ageing an exceptional and only Transatlantic Mail cover to Sweden which has a combination of postal adhesives from both countries. This is probably the most important UPU Transatlantic Mail cover from the USA to Sweden, certificate Obermüller-Wilen (2011) (Facit 7c2,9d3,11e2,14Bd)

1869, Pictorials 3 c. blue, tied by red cork cancel to fancy envelope with adjacent red "SOUTH DEERFIELD Ms. AUG 19" to Holyoke. Original contens enclosed.

1904, St. Louis exposition 1 c. - 10 c. (3 c. damaged corner) on Chicago jeweller's corner card envelope with adjacent “REGISTERED/ NOV 30 1904/ EXPOSITION STADION ST. LOUIS, MO”, to New York with arrival marks. The cover slightly reduced at left when opened, otherwise fine. Very scarce.

1908, 2 c and 3 c., tied by oval "ROYAL DANISH LEGATION WASHINGTON" to cover with Washington D.C. return address, most likely transported in diplomatic bag to Kopenhagen and here posted. 

1932, Olympic issue 3 c. purple and 5 c. blue, the unique large die proofs on India Paper, on sunken card with blue control numbers "334309" resp. "334410" and handstamp "FROM THE FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT COLLECTION::::" on reverse. Very fine. A highlight of Olympic Philately. (Scott 718-19P1)

Olympic issue 3 c., the unique large die trial color proof in unissued colour carmine, on India paper, on sunken card, black control number "70020" on reverse. Very fine and choice. From the collection of John Eissler, who was the engraver of the vignette. (Scott 718TC1a)

1851, “AMERICA ÜBER BREMEN 9 ½/3”, roter L3 sehr klar auf kpl. Faltbrief von “CALUMET WIS. (Jul.16)” mit schwarzem Tax-Stempel “20” (Cents) via New York mit rotem Tax-Stempel “34”  nach Linden bei Hattingen mit vorderseitigem Tax-Vermerk “12 ½” (Sgr.), die vom Empfänger eingezogen wurden. Ein schöner Brief mit seltenem Transitstempel in guter Erhaltung

1854,  "4½ / 2 Sgr. / AMERICA ÜBER BREMEN" in rot, sauber abgeschlagen auf komplettem Faltbrief von "FORT MADISON IOA / JUL 6" (1854) mit nebengesetztem "N. 1 Groschen karmin mit klarem EKr. “BREMEN 9.8.72” als tarifgerechte Frankatur auf kompletter Faltdrucksache bis 40 g mit schwarzem L1 “FRANCO” für die Beförderung mit dem Norddeutschen Lloyd und handschriftlichem Dampfervermerk “Per Donau” nach Galveston, Texas in einwandfreier Erhaltung. Eine sehr seltene Drucksache nach Übersee

Eine nicht häufige Variante mit vorderseitig voll frankiertem 1 ½ Groschen-Porto, Fotobefund Krug BPP (1997)

1 Groschen karmin mit Plattenfehler “fehlender 8. Strich der ersten Strichleiste” (Feld 106) im Viererblock mit drei Normalmarken je mit klarem DKr. "LUDWIGSRUH 26.3.72" auf behördlichem Insinuationsdocument (Rücksendeteil) nach Frankfurt mit Ausgabestempel. Ungewöhnlich mit voll frankiertem Porto nach vollzogener Insinuation von allen Gebühren (2 Groschen Briefgebühr bis 250 g für den Hinweg + 1 Groschen Insinuationsgebühr + 1 Groschen Briefgebühr für den Rückweg), hier mit Viererblock der 1 Groschen- Marke dargestellt. Die farbfrische  Einheit und das Dokument sind einwandfreier und guter Gesamterhaltung, in dieser Kombination sehr selten, Fotoattest Krug BPP (2024)

“Our Flag shall wave over the Whole Country”, c. 1865 Union patriotic cover to Heidelberg, Germany, postmarked with New York Br. Pkt c.d.s. (Jul 8), endorsed “via Liverpool”, blue “4-½” in manuscript, likely carried via the Inman Line “City of Boston”, which arrived in Liverpool on July 18, reverse with red Aachen transit (Jul 22), next-day framed Heidelberg receiver, some staining mostly confined to reverse, trivial edge faults, a scarce transatlantic usage of a Civil War patriotic cover.

1863, 34th Regiment, Illinois Volunteers, Civil War illustrated patriotic cover depicting an Eagle with “National Union” and “State Sovereignty” banners, to Eislingen, endorsed “to Germany via New York” and “via Bremen Mail”, struck with “New-York Br. Pkt 33” c.d.s. (Mar 25), further endorsed “insufficiently pre paid” and “Due 15 cts” in manuscript, reverse with Aachen (Apr 7), Stuttgart (Apr 7), and Eislingen (Apr 8) c.d.s. backstamps, small edge flaws, but a most unusual transatlantic usage of a Civil War patriotic.
