1913, Romanov 5 r., fresh colours, tied by small cds. “MOSCOW 28 7 16” with additional franking to insured envelope to France for a value of 3750 rubles, mail redirected via London due to the ongoing battles on the Western front, transit and arrival cds, a few perfs faults otherwise fine, attractive and rare usage

1921, First Definitives 5 r., two singles, fresh colours and large margins all around, tied by small cds. “PETROGRAD 16 8 21” repeated alongside to registered postcard to London, the card with vertical fold away from the adhesives. A fine and very rare commercial usage of those stamps at their facial value, certificate Kirzhner (2022)
