1406/1860 (ca.), massive postal history collection with circa 800 stampless covers, strength with Republic of Venetia, starting with 1406 entire from Venezia, 1456 and 1524 "Cito, Cito" from Milano and Bergamo, 1594 forwarded letter from Turin, followed by a strong assembly of the Republic of Venice with many better items from the 18th century, some scarce postmarks with 1722 "SS.L.F.D.BR", 1785 "SAN VITO", 1781 red "PADOVA", 1767 red "BASAN", 1784 ornamental "CFC", 1746 ornamental "PORTOGRUARO" (Vollmeier Type 48), two rare mails from the Perarolo Post, some scarce incoming mail with 1709 Corfu, 1710 Caneat, 1748 Smirne, many annotations and taxes, etc., as to be expected some occasional forged postmarks noted. A delightful connoisseur´s assembly in overall good condition, many signed Paolo Vollmeier or illustrated in his opus "Republica di Venezia", in 16 albums

1455/1860 (ca.), outstanding postal history collection with over 750 stampless covers, large section of Republic of Venetia with a wide range of city postmarks and usages, starting with some early merchants mail from Ferrara, Rom and Florenz, good section of disinfected mail with label "UFFIZIO DI DISINFEZIONE IN REGGIO", 1790 "Spagata alla Sanita", 1847 Italian post office in Constantinople marked with disinfection crosses, many transit and tax annotations like "Porto Pogato", Subito", etc., some Chargé covers, soldier´s mail with manuscipt "Service Militaire" and handstamps "MINISTRO DELLA GUERRA", 1808 mail under French rule of the Two Sicilies with scarce "POSTE FRANÇAISE À NAPLES", and more. An excellent specialist´s assembly in overall good condition, in 13 albums and one box

1701/1812 (ca.), French Military Post in Italy, extensive collection with over 140 covers, spanning from the Spanish succession war to the Napoleonic campaigns, starting with 1702 entire with manuscript "DL a italie", followed by a selection of Polish succession war mails (6) with manuscript and handstamped "AR. DITALIE", 1734 "ARMEE DITAL.", Austrian succession war with "AM. DE FLANDRE", end of 18th century campaigns with 1793 three-line "ARMEE REVOLUTIONNAIRE DU MIDI", 1797 "ARMÉE DES ALPES", some better items like 1810 red "N°19 PORT-PAYÉ ARM. D´ITALIE", 1806 red "N°22 ARM. D´ITALIE", rare 1799 boxed "ARMÉE D´ITALIE 1ERE DIVON" (Reinhardt 25 pts), 1809 "BAU GAL ARM. 1724/1841 (ca.), group of covers, official documents and maps, some related to disinfection, with 1840 cover from Zante via Corfu to Venezia, handstamp "Sanita in Acona" on 1838 Corfu document, also an ex Officio signed Empress Maria Theresia with large embossed seal, some unused Venetian `Acque´ lettersheets, etc., a most ecclectic conglomerate in overall good condition

1854/59, group with three covers, with Papal States Mi.-No. 5 in pair on folded cover from "SENIGALLIA", Modena Mi.-No. 1b on folded cover and triple strip Sardinia Mi.-No. 12 on envelope from "LEVANTO" to England, partly somewhat faulty, but visually appealing, two covers sign. A. Diena
