"WALK" (Dobin 1.01), perfect strike on 1811 folded entire written in French to a Captain of the Helvetic Regiment in Lille, alongside transit two-line "PRUSSE PAR NEUSS", cursive "prusse.p.m" and "FRANCO", inside handwritten "Carolen le 3 octobre" with full correspondence, fine and scarce

1858, Coat of Arms 10 k. brown/blue, fresh colours, tied by dotted oval "6" Odessa (border post-office) to entire folded letter to Mariupol, reverse departure boxed "ODESSA April 1859", very fine, scarce usage

30 k. carmine-rose/yellowish-green, later printing on thinner paper, watermark "3" strongly shifted to the right, late use with cds. "1872", a couple of irregular perfs at top and one insignificant tone spot on reverse, fine and very rare 

PRIVATE PERFORATION: 1918, Arms 1 k. yellow-orange block of four, strip of three, pair and single, 5 k. carmine-brown vertical block of six, all with Private Rouletted Perforation, tied by cds. "PETROGRAD 1- 7. 18" together with 10 k. to reverse of a censored registered envelope to Lida, correctly franked at the 60 kopek tariff, with arrival receiver handstamp; cover with usual transportation traces, one vertical archival fold and slightly reduced at right, otherwise fine and very rare usage

1923, Agricultural and Industry Exhibit 1 r.-7 r., cpl. set used with RSFSR 10 r. and 100 r. (counted at 1 rouble each) on reverse, tied by cds. "MOSCOW 11. 9. 23" to registered envelope to Berlin, all paying the correct 40 roubles rate (tariff valid two weeks only), reverse arrival cds. Two stamps with small defects, of no importance given the great scarcity of those RSFSR-First USSR issue mixed frankings

1907/09, postal stationery cards 3 k. unused with additional private advertisement overprints, incl. confiserie factory and auto tires, very fine and most unusual

"БЕЗ.ПЛАТ." - "NO CHARGE" red framed cancel on postal stationery envelope, 10k. brown from "KAMENOGORODKS 9 1874" to St. Petersburg, some creasing and staining, otherwise fine, scarce cancellation

1920, 20k. on 14k. cobalt/red tied by cds. "VLADIVOSTOK 28 10 21" to registered cover with Russian and French r-label to Miloslaw, Poland with adjacent polish censor mark "P10" of Posen, London transit and "MILOSLAW 16.12.21" arrival mark, horizontal fold and some light transport wear, a very rare and with polish censor mark probably unique cover, certificate Mikulski (2005) and Drzewiecki (2017)

1920, "rub" violet manuscript overprint on 4 k., horizontal pair, used with cds. "FOKINO", a couple of separated perfs at bottom, still very fine, certificate Ceresa (2013) (Geyfman-Nr. 3)

YAKUTSK: 1920, "4 RUB" violet overprint on 4 k., horizontal pair, tied by cds. "YAKUTSK -1 4 21" together with Arms 20 k. (revalued in roubles without additional overprint) to parcel card, undelivered and returned to Yakutsk with receiver handstamp "YAKUTSK -6 6 21". Trivial vertical archival fold not affecting the adhesives, fine and very scarce, certificate Ceresa (2014) (Geyfman-Nr. 6)

1922, "5 T" handstamp on 5 r. dark blue/green-olive/greenish-blue, good to large margins, used with cds. "PETROVSK". A fine example of this very rare provisional, certificate Lyapine (2017)

1920, "Rub" handstamp overprint on 5 k., horizontal pair, and 10 k. on 7 k., neatly tied by circular postal seal from a local town, dated "6-6-22" in manuscript, to postal receipt with cds. "SHUYA VLAD. G. -6 6. 22" at upper right corner, some horizontal archival folds slightly affecting the pair perforations, of no importance. A very fine, very rare and delightful specialist item, signed Ceresa (Geyfman-Nr. 9, 12)

1921, "500" red handstamp overprint on 5 r., tied by cds. "SHUYA VLAD. G. 17 1 21" to a small piece, early use of this provisional, a couple of trivial short perfs, fine and rare, sign. and certificate Ceresa (2014) (Geyfman-Nr. 29)

SMOLENSK: 1922, "7500 rub" handstamp overprint on 250 r., thin paper, four very good even margins, a couple of light creases and small tear at left barely touching frame, still fine, a very scarce stamp, sign. and certificate Ceresa (2013) (Geyfman-Nr. 2)

1918, "60" small overprint on 3 k. imperforated, scarcer type 7 (2,8 mm width), fresh colours, four very good even margins, tied by unclear cds. to small piece, very fine, sign. and certificate Ceresa (2014) (Geyfman 3)

1920, red handstamp overprint on 5k. and 10 k., tied by cds. "SPASSK KAZ. -3 4 20" to money transfer card to Chebokssary, reverse arrival cds. 1920, reddish-violet handstamp overprint on 10 k., horizontal pair, tied by cds. "BAZARNYE MATAKI KAZ. -7 5 20" to money transfer card to Kazan, together with Arms 1 r. and 5 r. (all used at face value), reverse arrival "KAZAN 19 5 20", correct 28 roubles rate for a 1400 roubles money transfer (2%). Card slightly sortened at left and corner crease, of no importance, very fine, sign. and certificate Ceresa (2013) (Geyfman-Nr. 3a)

CHERKASSY: 1920, "20 r" violet manuscript overprint on Shahiv 40 k., horizontal pair, fresh colours, neatly tied by cds. "CHERKASSY 6 5 20" to small piece, very fine and very scarce, sign. and certificate Ceresa (2013) (Geyfman-Nr. 6)

"KHARBIN POST. TEL. KONT. 10 XII 19-02", very fine strike on 7 k. and China 1 c., repeated alongside (T&S fig. 585), to red band envelope to Riga with arrival cds. "RIGA 29 DEC. 1902". The 7 k. lightly toned at top, otherwise very fine and scarce mixed franking

1868, 2 Pia. blue/rose, two singles, left stamp just touched at base, right adhesive with four large even margins, tied by black dotted lozenge (T&S Type 3) to folded entire to Taganrog, adjacent faint cds. "ROPIT CONSTANTINOPLE 68". Trivial peripheral aging otherwise fine, an extremely scarce multiple usage

1895, Shipwreck of the Steamer "Elbe", envelope from Odessa to New York, embarked in Bremen and recovered at sea after the maritime disaster, with both emergency postmarks "Frei! Marke abgefallen - Paid! Stamp lost." and "Geborgen aus der Postladung des untergegangenen Dampfers Elbe. Postamt 1 Bremen", with arrival cds., cover with normal faults as to be expected from salvaged mail. Very rare, one of only two shipwreck covers recorded originating from Imperial Russia
