1 Groschen karmin im waagerechten Paar und Einzelwert 2 Groschen ultramarin je mit Hufeisenstempel "HAMBURG I.A. 3.MAI.72" (Spalink 17-3) auf komplettem Faltbrief bis 15 g (Tarif nur bis zum 12.7.72) nach St. Petersburg mit Ankunftsstempel, 2 Groschen-Marke kammschlagbedingt minimal eckrund, sonst in guter Gesamterhaltung, nicht häufiges 4 Groschen-Porto, Fotoattest Sommer BPP (2000)

1 Groschen karmin in Mischfrankatur mit ½ Groschen orange je mit DKr. "ERFURT 28.8.72" auf unterfrankierter amtlicher Vordruck-Postkarte mit Rahmenstempel "Aus dem Briefkasten" und Tax-Vermerk "40" (Cent) via Burgdohl nach Langnau, Schweiz. Die ½ Groschen-Marke mit drei verkürzten Zähnen, sonst in guter Gesamterhaltung. Die frankierten 1 ½ Groschen wurden nur mit 12,5 Rappen angerechnet und von der Gesamtforderung von 50 Rappen für unfrankierte Briefe abgezogen und aufgerundet mit "40" Rappen (Rötelvermerk) notiert und vom Empfänger eingezogen. Der deutschen Reichspostverwaltung wurden 30 Rappen (mit Rötel gestrichener Blaustifttaxe) vergütet. Postkarten in die Schweiz sind aus der Portoperiode bis 31.12.1872 selten, ausführliches Fotoattest Dr. Zill BPP (2023)

Der Brief ist durch die Weiterleitung nach Bormio in Italien unterfrankiert, daher vorderseitig mit L2 "BOLLO INSUFF. CRED.AUST. S. DI. (7)" und italienischer Portomarke 50 C. mit blauem DKr. "BAGNI NUOVI DI BORMIO 17. AUG.72". Der Umschlag mit Beförderungsspuren im Rand, sonst in guter Gesamterhaltung, seltene Zwei-Länder-Frankatur, Fotoattest Sommer BPP (1994)

Der Absender Julius Hübner war ein deutscher Maler und ab 1871 Direktor der Dresdner Königlichen Gemäldegalerie, der Adressat Conte Giovanni Cittadella war u.a. Präsident des venezianischen Instituts für Wissenschaften, Briefe und Künste in Venedig sowie Senator des Königreichs Italien.

"ULTRAMAR": 1903/28 (ca.), unused group of 45 postal stationery and parcel cards, incl. reply cards (6) with the security overprints from the Portuguese UPU postal archives for the colonies, incl. "SPECIMEN" and "ESPECIMEN", together with some meters (2); some toning and mixed condition, a very scarce group

1855/1980 accumulation of Italian mint and used, contained within three albums, very patchy early period and mixed, better from 1960 with almost exclusively a mint run of modern material, also a Vatican City mint collection, comprising two albums and a large folder covering 1960s to late 1970s, almost all never hinged, a good volume of material in mostly fine to prestine condition. 

1839/42, about 370 letters from Turin, Genova, Milan, etc., apperently all to Lyon, France, partly different transit marks and taxes.

1852/1945 Papal States and Vatican City, mainly cancelled collection upon album pages, with among others Michel 39 to 44 set accompanied by an E. Diena certificate, Legal Congress and World Exhibition Catholic Press, also a 1939 registered cover sent from Vatican City to Frankfurt, high catalogue value, in predominately fine condition, a very useful collection. 

1859/60, unused and used collection with many better shades and printings, several multiples, pieces and 19 covers. Included are a.o. ½ grana (two single copies, one on piece and two entires with three colour frankings) 1 grana in strip of 4, several multiples of 2 grana in different shades, including used strip of 4, 50 grana (2 on pieces), several colour frankings on pieces and entires, 2 entires of January 1859, etc., etc. The quality is far above average, almost every item is accompanied by at least one certificate. 

1861/2004 (ca.), used and unused collection in four albums, incl. postage dues, parcel and official stamps, strength until the 1940s, better items like Mi 445/46 (4) incl. two used, many duplicates both used and unused, some doubtful cancellations, overall condition fine to very fine

1863/1980 (ca.), unmounted mint/unused and used collection neatly housed in one album, together with a few cards, some blocks of four and part sheet, mostly very fine

1910/50 (ca.), Stock of 'back of the book' with occupation, Triest with ca. 30 copies each of Mi. 18-31, unmounted mint, and large quantities Aegean Islands Mi.10 with different overprints unused and used. Enormous catalogue value.

1912/1930 Early newspapers with correspondence, comprising seventeen examples to Malta, different frankings and towns, unusual rates, attractive lot. 

1877/95, attractive selection of 13 covers, card and parcel cards, all to Norway with a wide range of colourful frankings, incl. a delightful illustrated advertisement card from a Scilian wine merchant, a 1888 registered envelope with three-clour franking tied by Barred Numeral "182", mostly very fine, a very scarce specialist assembly

1941. interesting unused, never hinged and used collection containing also a few covers, some interesting varieties such as shifted overprints, better items like Sassone# 41, 54-56, 59b, 60b etc., many signed, some certificates, all neatly on special album pages
