1854, Desmadryl 5 c. red brown, horizontal strip of 6, slightly touched in places it at top, otherwise full to large margins, used on lettersheet with adjacent red "SANTIAGO  AGTO 54" to Valparaiso. Filing crease (well off the franking) little toned, otherwise very fine and fresh. A very attractive and rare letter. Certificate RPSL (1978) (Scott 3)

1853, First London Printing 5 c. red-brown on blued paper, ample to large margins and nice fresh colour, unused without gum. Very fine and fresh. An extremely rare stamp in this condition. Certificate Sociedad Filatelica de Chile (1977) and BPA (1992) (Scott1)

5 c. red-brown on blued paper, block of 4, nice colour, the right vertical pair partly touched/cut into at right, otherwise clear to large margins, used with 6-bar target. A very rare block in fine condition; just 2 further blocks of 4 have been recorded of this stamp. (Scott 1)

5 c. red-brown on blued paper with horizontal pair 10 c. deep bright blue on yellowish paper, all slightly touched, but mostly clear to large margins, tied by target handstamp, with adjacent straight line “SANTIAGO” to lettersheet with part of contents to Valparaiso. The left 10 c. tiny marginal nick at upper left, otherwise very fine and fresh. One of only two recorded covers with the complete first issue of Chile used in combination. 10 c. deep bright blue on yellowish paper, vertical strip of three with large margins at top and at base and partly shaved at sides, tied to cover with adjacent red "SANTIAGO 3 FEBRO 54" to Valparaiso. The cover slightly folded back at left, otherwise fine. A rare multiple of this stamp on cover; just one further strip of three on entire recorded.

5 c. rose brown, horizontal strip of 7 with ample to mostly large margins and parts of 5 neighbour stamps, and single copy, tied by target cancels to letter sheet with adjacent clear  red “SANTIAGO 6 AGTO 51” to Valparaiso; correctly prepaid for the letter up to 2 ounces. An exceptional and rare franking of great beauty, showing the only recorded strip of seven of this stamp on cover. Certificate Philatelic Foundation (1997) (Scott3)

The entire with usual falls, the strip in extremely fine condition. A very attractive letter of greatest rarity; the largest strip recorded on cover in the classic period. The franking paying the internal postage to Valparaiso, thence via PSNC Steamer to Panama with double line “PANAMA  TRANSIT” in red. On reverse  London and french transit marks. 1854, Desmadryl, 5 c. red brown, vertical pair from the lower right sheet corner, nice fresh colour and good to large margins, showing ca. 1/5,5 mm sheet margins, together with two single copies Desmadryl 10 c. blue, both with good to large margins, all tied by mostly clear target cancels, to entire letter with adjacent red "SANTIAGO 17 AGTO 55" , to Valparaiso. 10 c.blue, horizontal strip of six, the fifth stamp  tiny touched at base, otherwise clear to large margins, used on lettersheet with adjacent red “VALPARAISO 14 OBRE 54” to Buenos Ayres, Argentina, fully prepaid for the 1½ ounce rate. Some minor peripheral age spotting around the stamps, otherwise very fine. A rare letter to broad with the largest recorded strip of this stamp on cover.
