5c. brown and Franklin 30c. orange, neatly tied by cork cancel to double-weight registered envelope endorsed "pr Bremen Steamer" via New York with "NEW-YORK REGISTERED DEC 5 1867" applied to Eichelsachsen, where the recipient had to pay "4" delivery fee, a fine and very rare registered letter

1861, Jefferson 5c. olive yellow, nice fresh colour and good perforation, neatly cancelled by "PAID" in grid cancel, very fine and most attractive. A rare stamp, certificate PF (2022) (Scott 67b)

1861/67, 5 c. red-brown, horizontal strip of 3 with the right stamp being a straddle-pane single showing a small portion of the stamp from the adjacent pane, tied by cork cancel and faind  red "N.York PAID..." to cover to Germany with adjacent "AMERIKA ÜBER BREMEN FRANCO". A scarce variety. (Scott 76 var.)

1868, Washington 10c. green and horizontal pair, Lincoln 15c. black with mute ring cancel and adjacent cds. "NEW YORK" and matching "10" in circle on orange buff double-weight cover to Trondheim Norway, endorsed "via Hamburg or Bremen paid" at bottom left, carried by the "New York" of the NDL from New York to Bremen arriving on Feb. 19th. with boxed "BREMEN 16/2 68 FRANCO" and matching, since the letter was treated as a double-weight letter, "Weiterfr. 4 Sgr." applied. 10c. adhesive applied over edge. Small tear beneath adhesives. An exceptionally rare and attractive 1861 issue franking prepaying the rare North German Union Direct Mail rate to Norway, perhaps the only known double-weight cover

1868, Lincoln 15c. black (tiny tear) tied by cork to envelope with pre-printed address "WM. H. Frasse Watchmakers, Jewelers, and Other Mechanics' Tools" via New York, transported by the "Weser II" of the NDL, and Bremen with boxed "BREMEN 11/2 68. FRANCO" and boxed accountancy mark "Weiterfr. 2 Sgr." to Geneva, Switzerland. A very attractive entire showing the scarce 15c. Rate via Open Mail via Bremen which was only possible between January 1st and March 30th 1868

1866 (27 Sept.), Washington 3c. rose, two vertical pairs and single tied by grid cancel to small envelope endorsed "France via New York" to Combrondes, alongside scarce "DETROIT MICH SEP 27 PAID 12" exchange office mark, even though the cover was endorsed "France via New York" it most likely travelled with the "Moravian"  to Londonderry, envelope some tears, otherwise fine and attractive

1854 (Oct. 3), Washington 3c. red imperforated with manuscript mark on folded lettersheet from Spencer, Tennesse, endorsed "via New York & Liverpool" to Leipzig. The letter weighed more than ½oz and was rated as double, with black integral cds. "N. YORK AM. Pkt 46 OCT 14", carried by the "Atlantic" from New York to Liverpool, charged with "26" sgr. to the recipient, interesting cover with attempted part-payment
