ROMAGNA: Die Original-Druckstöckel für die einzige Ausgabe, 1859, die zunächst an Moens, Brüssel und anschließend an Goldner verkauft wurden und die zur Erstellung der kompletten Druckplatten der Neudrucke  (mit neu erstellten Klischees) dienten. Insgesamt 84 Klischees, die einzelnen Wertstufen in unterschiedlichen Stückzahlen zwischen 7 und 13 Stück. Einzigartige Museumsstücke.

ROMAGNA: The original printing clichés for the only issue, 1859, which were first sold to Moens, Brussels, and then to Goldner, and which were used to create the complete printing plates for the Reprints (with newly created clichés). In total 84 clichés of all denominations, in varying quantities between 7 and 13 pieces. Unique museum pieces.

1852–68, collection of over 280 stamps including singles, bisects, pairs, and multiples, a largely used holding  in a large stockbook, though note many mint examples throughout, neatly-arranged by issue and denomination, ranging from the 1852 first issues through to the 1868 perforated types, a striking  array of shades as well as postmark interest, suitable for further study and expansion, condition slightly mixed with some forgeries or repaired examples to be expected, though overall superior to what is often found in such extensive holdings, over a dozen certificates accompany and many more stamps bear expert signatures including Diena, Oliva, Ferrario; a desirable and well-balanced collection of above-average quality, mostly fine or better and ideal for the specialist.

1852/1868, collection of over 55 covers with diverse frankings and postmarks, the vast majority bearing 1852 issue frankings,  illustrating a wide range of single, multiple, bisect, and three-colour frankings, postmarks including c.d.s., straight-line and boxed handstamps, condition somewhat mixed with faults to be expected in places, as typical of such classic material, though mostly fine and presentable, a couple of forgeries or dubious items as often seen, but many covers bear expert signatures noting Diena, Sorani, Colla, etc, with five certificates accompanying; a desirable and well-balanced lot showing greater diversity than typically encountered, ideal for the specialist.

1852–60, collection of over ninety stamps, mint and used, neatly arranged by denomination and comprising a strong study of the first issues, with examples from both printings with and without dot after denomination, mostly singles with a few multiples including "interspazio" pairs, the collector having made considerable effort to identify shades, plate varieties, etc, approximately one-third of the material from the 1859 Provisional Government issues, some questionable items as typical but note several stamps signed and four certificates accompany, condition slightly, but with many four-margin examples and thus superior to what is typically encountered, mostly fine or better and ideal for the specialist.

Provisional Government adhesives, one 40 c. single franking accompanied by Cardillo certificate, condition mixed as often seen, but a useful and mostly fine group.

1858/59, The first section a study of 1858-9 issues, approximately 50 used examples, ½ gr. to 20 gr. denominations represented, mostly singles, though note a handful of multiples, with myriad shades for the specialist to further study, followed by the Province Napoletane issues of Vittorio Emanuele II, imperforate and perforated examples, a mix of mint and used, with over 100 stamps, also collected with an eye to shade varities, some faulty or dubious examples to be expected, but superior quality to what is often found, many four-margin examples among the imperforates, overall fresh and fine or better.

1858-62 group of twenty covers, eight being franked with Arms of the Two Sicilies, all but two of these being 2 gr. single frankings, the balance being 1 gr. and 2 gr. horizontal pairs on folded letters, good range of shades for study, all cancelled with “Annullato” handstamps, the balance being Province Napoletane frankings, most imperforate or perforated Emmanuel II issues, some faults, but overall fine.

1852–59, collection of over 130 stamps in a stockbook, including singles and pairs, a mostly used collection, neatly arranged by issue and denomination, strongest in the 1852–55 Crown issues with additional 1857–59 and Provisional Government examples, a striking range of shades offering strong potential for further study and expansion, a useful reference page of forgeries and reprints is also included (not counted in the total), condition slightly mixed in places though of superior overall quality to what is often found in such collections, the odd questionable stamp, but many signed including by Diena, Richter, and others; a fine and well-balanced collection of above-average quality, ideal for the specialist.

1852–55, collection of 10 covers, including single frankings of the 15c and 25c, strips of the 5c and 10c, a pleasing range of usages and shades, showing both straight-line and c.d.s. cancellations, a couple of items signed Diena and one accompanied by an Enzo Diena certificate, condition typically mixed with faults to be expected in places, though mostly fine and a desirable lot for further study; an appealing and worthwhile group, ideal for the specialist.

1851-1862, a well-developed mint & used collection in two large stockbooks, comprising 1851 Vittorio Emanuele II imperforates through to 1862 printings, carefully-arranged and frequently annotated by the collector, noting postmarks, varieties, etc, replete with a striking range of shades, particularly among the later issues an impressive collection that took tremendous effort to assemble, some questionable or faulty examples to be expected in a holding of this size and nature, selection of forgeries/reprints mounted on page and included for reference, but uncommonly fresh and far better quality than usually encountered, an ideal nucleus for an expansive study of this fascinating area.
