1502, Royal mail signed by Ferdinand II King of Spain (1452-1516) and Queen Isabella I (1451-1504), entire lettersheet with complete papered Royal paper seal used by the Catholics Monarchs, some wear and soiling, otherwise fine. A very rare and important document.

1547, Kingsletter signed "Yo El Rey" (I the King) by Charles V King of Spain (1500-1558), entire lettersheet with complete papered Royal paper seal, a couple of unobstrusive toned spots, otherwise fine and very rare

1559,  Kingsletter signed "Yo El Rey" (I the King) by Phillip II King of Spain (1527-1598), letter of condolence to the Count of Buendia, dated inside, light traces of a red wax seal on the reverse of the lettersheet, fine and rare

1582, folded entire from Villadelprado in Madrid to Toledo, clearly dated twice inside, endorsed "con propio" and addressed to a member of the tribunal of the inquisition "consultor del Santo Oficio a San Cristobal"; very fine and extremely scarce item

1674, Folded entire from Cadix to London, almost intact red wax seal on reverse, with adjacent Bishop mark "DE 24" applied on arrival; very fine, an attractive early entire

"AFRICA", fair strike in red and accounting black handstamp "B29" (Catalonian dinero) on an entire lettersheet with full content to Palafrugell, Catalona, dated inside "Oran, Julio 18 del 1775".  A fine and delightful entire graced with a very rare origin

1790 (ca.), Folded entire from Cadiz to Lima, Peru, endorsed in manuscript "Por la Coruña, Buen. Ayres, Aviso", struck on departure with red straightline handstamp "CADIZ" and Coruña transit "ESPAÑA"; a few trivial worm holes on the back only, otherwise very fine and fresh. A very rare entire with the "Aviso" annotation, refering to the transportation via an advice boat

"DAROCA ARAGON", almost complete Crowned Circular handstamp on entire lettersheet addressed "au citoyen Marbot négociant" in France, adjacent receiving handstamp "64 OLERON", fully dated inside "16 mars 1796"; fine mail, the combination of a very rare postmark and an unusal destination (G&T-Nr. 2)

"ANDALUCIA BAXA", very fair strike in red on an undated folded entire (part missing) sent to Justice Burgo de Osma, endorsed "Por El Rey" (By The King) at the top; fine and scarce postmark from Granada

1850, 6 c. black, Type II, fresh colour and good to large balanced margins, tied by neat black araña handstamp to folded entire to Cadiz, red cds. "BARCELONA CATALONA 4 MARZ 1850" departure alongside, endorsed in manuscript "Vapor Mercurio". Very fine, an exceptionally rare steamship usage of the first issue of Spain 

1851, Isabella II 2 r. red-orange, Sperati forgery type A, fresh colour with good margins all around, used with araña cancel, very fine

1853, Isabella II 2 r. vermilion, fresh colour and good margins all around, used with clear bar-cancel, very fine and rare, certificate Comex (2009)

1930, Monastery La Rabida 5 c. Large Die Proof in black on gummed paper, together with 10 c. yellow green overprinted "MUESTRA", unobstrusive clear spot on the proof´s margin, otherwise very fine and very scarce

1935, Amazon Expedition 30 c., Die Proof in black, signed in pencil by the engraver Sanchez Toda, small surface abrasion on the upper right corner, otherwise very fine, a rare item for the connoisseur

1937 (ca.), Cisneros 50 cts., original artwork hand-drawn on thick card (107 x 132 mm) for an unissued stamp, together with the original sketch pencilled on pelure paper, very fine and rare

50 c., original artwork on card (110 x 137 mm) by Spanish engraver Sanchez Toda for the design of the Antonio Nebrija stamp, attached to a larger handwritten paper sheet, the later annotated "aportado por el Director el 17 junio 46"; very fine and unique specialist item (Edifil-Nr. 1002) 

1946, Day of the Postage Stamp 50 c. green, Trial Colour Proofs in block of four unmounted mint, fresh with very good to large margins all around, unusual pre-printing paper folds; a very fine and scarce block, certificate CEM (2018) (Edifil-Nr. 1002ccbs)

1866, 40c. - 2es., fresh color and good perforations, unused without gum, 40c. small part original gum, fine, certificate Comex (1970, for 2es.)

MANILLA-LONDON: 1840, Folded entire to London endorsed on the inside flap "MANILA 1840", on front "VIA BOMBAY" with red framed "INDIA", reverse red cds. "CALCUTTA STEAM LETTER PAID", very fine, scarce Spanish colonial mail via India

"PONCE" black-bluish straight-line with adjacent blue handstamp "2Rs.", on a domestic envelope to Puerto Rico, endorsed in manuscript "Sin Cargo" (without charge) on the back flap, nevertheless charged, few small worm holes, still fresh and fine

1893, Landing of Colombus 3 c. dark green, fresh colours, unmounted mint, one short perf as often with this issue, otherwise very fine and scarce (Scott-Nr. 133)

3 c. dark green, First Day Cover, mis-perforated stamp with extra vertical row of perforations through centre, tied by cds. "SAN JUAN 19 NOV 93"; one short perf and tiny part missing at top due to the nature of the variety, otherwise fine and very scarce usage (Scott-Nr. 133)

1929, Spanien König Alfons XIII. 40 Céntimos im waagerechten Paar mit Stempel "VIGO 21.MAP.29" auf Debeg R-Vordruckbrief "OCEAN-LETTER" mit rückseitigem Vordruck "H.O. Boehme" komplett mit Inhalt (Telegramm-Vordruck mit Absenderangabe Dampfer Rio Bravo) nach Kiel mit Ankunftsstempel in guter Gesamterhaltung. Bisher kein weiterer "H.O. Boehme"-Vordruckbrief mit Verwendung in Spanien bekannt

1916, Spanien König Alfons XII. 15 Céntimos (2) und 20 Céntimos mit Stempel "CADIZ 18.OCT.16" auf R-Vordruck-Faltbrief "RADIO-LETTER" mit Absenderangabe "S/S Infanta Isabel de Barbo" nach Paris mit Ankunftsstempel. Kleine Fehlstelle oben rechts und ein Teil der Verschlussklappe fehlt, sonst in guter Gesamterhaltung. Seltene Post während des Krieges
