1864, Washington 24c. grey-lilac tied by grid cancel to envelope with adjacent cds. "WARREN MAR 30 1864" to Stradbally, Ireland. The cover was overweight, and the adhesive was not accepted as part-payment, subsequently "NEW YORK AM Pkt. 42 APR 42" due handstamp struck and carried on the "City of Washington" to Queenstown with transit mark of Piltown, few folds and adhesive small corner crease, otherwise fine and unusual entire

1875 (10 Nov), Bank Note Issue 3c. green, 10c. brown and 15c. orange tied by cork cancel with adjacent cds. "MADISON NOV 10" to reduced cover to Moradabd, India. Adhesives slightly overpaying the ½oz rate to India per British mail via Brindisi. Conveyed from Boston with "City of Richmond" to Queenstown, from Brindisi with the steamer "Baroda" to Alexandria and to it's final destination, adhesives some imperfections, still attractive

1858, Washington 12c. black horinzontal pair tied by cds. "ADRIAN FEB  13" to buff cover,  carried by the "Fulton" to Southampton, to Scottland with red handstamp "3" of the New York Exchange Office, some edge wear, otherwise fine

"SAN FRANCISCO AUG 5 1857" to folded lettersheet endorsed "Via New York and Havre", carried on Vanderbilts "North Star" to Southampton with London and Calais transit marks, to "Tägerwilen near Constanz", Switzerland, attractive entire

1858, entire letter from New York to Copenhagen, endorsed "pr. Bremen Steamer", changed into "Open mail" with adjacent "U.S.PKT:", part paid till England, here rated "7" sgr. for British and Belgium transit, in Hamburg taxed with "9 1/2" sgr. including Prussian transit; in Denmark charged with "36" skilling. A very scarce 'British open mail' letter in this period.

1863, (6 June) Jackson 2c. black, Washington 3c. rose and 10c. green with with target cancel in small envelope endorsed "via Hamburg or Bremen line" via New York to Berlin, upon arrival in Bremen blue two line "AMERICA ÜBER BREMEN" applied, 2c. affixed slightly over edge, otherwise fine and attractive

1867, entire letter from New Orleans via New York and Hamburgg to Stockholm, endorsed "Due 38 c." instead of correct 33 c., rated in Hamburg "7 2/6" Sgr. and charged upon arrival with "95" oere.

TRANSATLANTIK BREMEN MAIL: Umfangreiche Sammlung mit über 160 Briefen der verschiedenen Perioden ab 1849 bis 1870 mit ihren verschiedenen Transit- und Verrechnungsstempeln sowie Frankaturen, dabei viele bessere, u.a. Retourbrief mit L1 "ADVERTISED", Einschreiben, bessere Frankaturen ab Altdeutschland, einiges NDP sowie USA, alles mit viel Wissen aufgebaut und meist aufgezogen sowie genau beschriebene Sammlung, dabei auch einige kleine Kupferstiche von Dampfschiffen etc., übliche etwas unterschiedliche Erhaltung
